About the guest:
Claire Whitely manages the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance’s environmental sustainability strategy, including their work on climate action, water stewardship and responsible resourcing. She drives collaborative action between 14 member companies (including Hilton, IHG and Marriott) to enable to whole hospitality industry to have a lasting positive impact on our planet.
Claire has nearly a decade’s experience driving sustainability progress for Hilton. During this time, Claire worked on a wide range of projects including updating Hilton’s global CR strategy, leading their water stewardship efforts and creating behaviour change campaigns, as well as leading initiatives focused on issues such as energy efficiency, single-use plastic reduction and responsible sourcing.
She has a BSc in Environmental Science and an MSc in Environmental Monitoring and Assessment. She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability.
