Contamination Control: UV Treatment, Steril-Aire Cooling Coil Treatment
Description
UV Treatment Options (Steril-Aire)
Ultra Violet Germicidal Irradiation UVGI for Cooling Coils in HVAC systems consistently provides high efficient HVAC operations while ensuring cleaner indoor air.
The primary source of pollution in an air-conditioning system is the biofilm that grows in the cooling coils. A biofilm is a collection of microorganisms that inhabit the cooling efficiency of the coils as well as causing illness. Steril-Aire’s UVC inactivates microbes, bacteria, viruses and mould by altering the DNA, destroying the organism’s reproduction ability, and leaving it to die. Test reports show that Steril-Aire UVC devices achieved 99%+ destruction in a single pass on airborne bacteria and viruses.
In addition, UVC / UVGI solutions are also applicable for In-duct solutions, surface decontamination and upper-roof installations for Air Quality enhancement and contamination control.
UV Treatment Options (Steril-Aire) With the correct placement, Steril-Aire emitters will destroy up to 99% of the airborne biological pollutants and eliminate the mould that keeps the biofilm attached to the metal cooling coils. The UVC systems work best for 'downstream' installation. The indoor air going into the supply is treated with UVGI, ensuring it is free of microbes and other pollutants.
