Speaker: Radhika Arapally, Founder of Sustainability Kiosk, and UAE Senior Strategic Representative for the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance.
FHS World returns to Dubai this year under the theme Reinvest in Our Future, bringing together hotel owners, investors, operators and developers from across the region and beyond. For an industry now deploying record capital into new supply, the theme asks a pointed question: what will those assets actually be worth in a market where sustainability performance is increasingly priced in?
On 30 September at 4pm GST, Sustainability Kiosk will make that case on behalf of the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance with From Measurement to Market Value: Sustainability data as an asset-value input, not a reporting exercise.
For too long, hotels have treated sustainability data as a compliance obligation, collected for a certificate, filed for a report, and rarely looked at again. But lenders, investors and regulators are reading that same data differently. Verified energy, water, carbon and waste performance now shapes financing terms, valuation, insurability and exit options. Unverified or self-reported data is becoming a liability.
Host: Teona Nemsitsveridze, Senior Strategic Representative, Caucasus – Georgian Tourism Association, World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance
The session will explore:
- Why verified data is fast becoming the currency owners and investors trust
- How the Alliance’s global measurement methodologies give hotels a common, comparable language
- What changes on the balance sheet when a property can prove its performance, not just claim it
If you’re attending FHS World Dubai, we’d love to see you there.
